Summary
CVE-2024-34771 is a newly identified vulnerability that affects all versions of Solid Edge below V224.0 Update 2. This cybersecurity issue is rooted in the application's parser for PAR files. When handling specially crafted PAR files, Solid Edge is susceptible to a heap-based buffer overflow. An attacker who successfully exploits this flaw could execute arbitrary code within the application, gaining control of the current process.
