CVE-2024-3388

Summary

CVE-2024-3388 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting the GlobalProtect Gateway in Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS software. This issue enables authenticated attackers to impersonate another user and send network packets to internal assets. Despite this capability, the attacker is unable to receive response packets from those assets, limiting the potential impact of this vulnerability. This impersonation attack can lead to unauthorized access and potential data exfiltration within an organization's network. Users running affected versions of PAN-OS are urged to apply the available patch as soon as possible.
