Summary

CVE-2024-3343 is a vulnerability found in the Otter Blocks – Gutenberg Blocks, Page Builder for Gutenberg Editor & FSE plugin for WordPress. The vulnerability exists in all versions up to and including 2.6.8 and allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. The potential danger of this vulnerability is that the injected scripts will execute whenever a user accesses the affected pages. The risk score for this vulnerability is 25, with a base severity of MEDIUM and base score of 6.4 according to the CVSS:3.1 rating provided by [email protected]. Remediation for this vulnerability includes updating the plugin to a version that has fixed the issue.
