Summary

CVE-2024-32472 is a stored XSS vulnerability found in Excalidraw, an open source virtual hand-drawn style whiteboard. The vulnerability allows arbitrary JavaScript to be executed within the domain where the editor is hosted. It occurs due to untrusted strings being rendered as iframe's srcdoc without proper sanitization against HTML injection, as well as improper sanitization against attribute HTML injection. This vulnerability poses a medium risk to organizations and requires user interaction for exploitation. The vulnerability has been fixed in versions 0.17.6 and 0.16.4 of Excalidraw.
