Summary

CVE-2024-32472 is a stored XSS vulnerability found in Excalidraw, an open source virtual hand-drawn style whiteboard. The vulnerability allows arbitrary JavaScript to be executed within the domain where the editor is hosted. It occurs due to untrusted strings being rendered as iframe's `srcdoc` without proper sanitization against HTML injection, as well as improper sanitization against attribute HTML injection. This vulnerability poses a medium risk to organizations and requires user interaction for exploitation. The vulnerability has been fixed in versions 0.17.6 and 0.16.4 of Excalidraw.
