Summary
CVE-2024-32004 is a vulnerability affecting Git, a revision control system. Versions 2.45.1, 2.44.1, 2.43.4, 2.42.2, 2.41.1, 2.40.2, and 2.39.4 are susceptible to an attack where a malicious actor can manipulate a local repository in such a way that when cloned, it can execute arbitrary code during the operation. The issue has been addressed in the mentioned patched versions of Git. As a precautionary measure, it is advised to avoid cloning repositories from untrusted sources to mitigate the potential risks associated with this vulnerability.
