Summary
CVE-2024-3161 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Jeg Elementor Kit plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.6.4, allows authenticated attackers with contributor access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the countdown widget's attributes. Successful exploitation results in the execution of injected scripts whenever a user accesses an affected page.
