The CVE-2024-31472 vulnerability is a command injection vulnerability found in the Soft AP Daemon service. This vulnerability allows for unauthenticated remote code execution by sending specially crafted packets to the PAPI (Aruba's Access Point management protocol) UDP port (8211). It affects various products including v7XvlX, v7XvlW, v7XvlY, and v7X51y. Exploiting this vulnerability can result in executing arbitrary code as a privileged user on the underlying operating system.
