Summary
CVE-2024-31454 is a vulnerability affecting the open source file sharing solution, PsiTransfer, prior to version 2.2.0. This issue permits an attacker to manipulate files within a distribution after receiving the file ID. Subsequent users downloading the affected files may unwittingly obtain malicious or phishing content. The vulnerability does not involve the loading of extra files into the file bucket, but rather the alteration of existing ones, compromising the integrity of individual uploaded files. Version 2.2.0 includes a patch to address this issue.
