Summary

CVE-2024-31444 is a vulnerability in Cacti, a framework for operational monitoring and fault management. Before version 1.2.27, there is a lack of thorough checking of data stored in the `automation_tree_rules_form_save()` function, which is then used to concatenate an HTML statement in the `form_confirm()` function from `lib/html.php`. This leads to a cross-site scripting vulnerability. The issue has been patched in version 1.2.27.
