Summary

CVE-2024-3073 is a vulnerability affecting the Easy WP SMTP by SendLayer plugin for WordPress. In versions up to 2.3.0, the plugin inadvertently displays the SMTP password in the settings page for administrative users. This exposure of sensitive information can enable authenticated attackers with administrative-level access to view the SMTP password for the configured server. Although this may not be valuable to attackers in most scenarios, a compromised administrator account could grant additional privileges to an attacker in a restricted environment, making this a potential security risk.
