Summary
CVE-2024-2987 is a newly disclosed critical vulnerability affecting Tenda FH1202 1.2.0.14(408) devices. The GetParentControlInfo function in the /goform/GetParentControlInfo file contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability, which can be exploited by manipulating the argument mac. This issue allows remote attackers to launch exploits, as the identifier VDB-258156 suggests. Regrettably, the vendor was contacted about this disclosure but failed to respond, leaving these devices potentially vulnerable to exploitation in the wild.
