Summary

CVE-2024-2947 is a command injection vulnerability found in Cockpit versions 270 and newer. By deleting a sosreport with a crafted name through the Cockpit web interface, an attacker can execute arbitrary commands and escalate privileges. The vulnerability has a base severity rating of HIGH and requires low privileges and user interaction to exploit. It has a local attack vector and affects the confidentiality and integrity of the system, posing a significant danger to affected organizations.
