Summary
CVE-2024-29187 is a vulnerability affecting the WiX toolset, a software used by developers to create installers for the Windows Installer. The issue arises when the tool, named Burn, runs with SYSTEM privileges and uses the GetTempPathW function to specify the insecure directory C:\\Windows\\Temp for temporary files.
