Summary
CVE-2024-28835 is a newly disclosed vulnerability in GnuTLS, a popular open-source TLS library. This issue enables an attacker to induce a crash in applications when they try to verify a maliciously crafted .pem bundle using the "certtool --verify-chain" command in GnuTLS. The vulnerability can result in application denial-of-service (DoS) or unintended termination, potentially disrupting secure communications. Users are strongly advised to update their systems as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
