Summary

CVE-2024-2839 is a vulnerability in the Colibri Page Builder plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 1.0.263. It is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages using the 'colibri_post_title' shortcode. The vulnerability is caused by insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes like 'heading_type'. This means that whenever a user accesses an injected page, the injected web scripts will be executed. The risk score for this vulnerability is 25, with a base severity of MEDIUM and a base score of 6.4 according to the CVSS:3.1 rating provided by [email protected].
