Summary

CVE-2024-28251 is a vulnerability affecting Querybook, a Big Data Querying UI that uses a Websocket Server for its datadocs functionality. The issue arises from the current CORS setting, which allows all origins and can potentially lead to cross-site websocket hijacking. Attackers could exploit this vulnerability to read, edit, or remove the user's datadocs. The vulnerability has been addressed in version 3.32.0 of Querybook, and users are advised to upgrade to this version. No workarounds are currently known for this vulnerability. The base severity of this vulnerability is rated as MEDIUM with a base score of 5.6 according to the CVSS:3.1 rating system.
