Summary

CVE-2024-28247 is a vulnerability that affects the Pi-hole, a DNS sinkhole used to block unwanted content on devices. This vulnerability allows an authenticated user on the platform to read internal server files arbitrarily. The issue arises when updating from a local file that contains non-domain lines, as five of these lines are displayed on the screen. It poses a potential danger to organizations as it allows unauthorized access to sensitive server files. The vulnerability has been fixed with version 5.18 of Pi-hole.
