Summary

CVE-2024-28187 is an OS Command Injection vulnerability found in SOY CMS versions prior to 3.14.2. The vulnerability allows for the execution of arbitrary OS commands through specially crafted file names containing a semicolon, affecting the jpegoptim functionality. This vulnerability has a base severity rating of HIGH and poses a potential danger to organizations as it can be exploited remotely without user interaction. To remediate this vulnerability, users are advised to upgrade to version 3.14.2. There are no known workarounds available for this issue.
