Summary
CVE-2024-2818 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting GitLab CE and EE versions prior to 16.8.5, as well as certain versions starting from 16.9 and 16.10. An attacker can exploit this issue by crafting malicious labels with a description parameter, causing GitLab to become unresponsive or consume excessive resources, resulting in a denial-of-service condition. Users are advised to upgrade to the patched versions as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
