Details
Summary
CVE-2024-28117 is a vulnerability affecting the open-source content management system, Grav. Before version 1.7.45, Grav's Utils::isDangerousFunction function fails to restrict Twig functions like twig_array_map, allowing attackers to bypass the validation and execute arbitrary commands. This issue becomes critical when Twig processing of static pages is enabled through front matter, which can be done by administrative users. Since the Twig processor runs unsandboxed, this vulnerability can lead to arbitrary code execution and privilege elevation on the affected instance. To mitigate this issue, users are advised to upgrade to the patched version 1.7.45.
