Summary
CVE-2024-2791 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Metform Elementor Contact Form Builder plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the plugin's widgets, which do not adequately sanitize or escape user-supplied attributes. This flaw enables authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject malicious web scripts. Once injected, these scripts will execute whenever an affected page is accessed, potentially compromising user data or taking control of the website. Versions up to and including 3.8.5 are vulnerable.
