Summary

CVE-2024-2636 is an Unrestricted Upload of File vulnerability found on Cegid Meta4 HR. This vulnerability allows attackers to upload malicious files to the server via the '/config/espanol/update_password.jsp' file. By modifying the 'M4_NEW_PASSWORD' parameter, an attacker can store a malicious JSP file in the file directory, which can be executed when loaded in the application. The vulnerability has a base severity rating of CRITICAL and poses a high risk to organizations as it can lead to unauthorized access, data breaches, and potential compromise of the affected system.
