Summary
CVE-2024-2596 is a newly identified Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting AMSS++ version 4.31. This issue stems from insufficient input encoding in multiple parameters of the /amssplus/modules/mail/main/select_send.php file. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by crafting a malicious URL and sending it to an authenticated user. Successful exploitation may result in the theft of the user's session cookie credentials, granting the attacker unauthorized access to the affected system.
