Summary

CVE-2024-25640 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Iris web collaborative platform, used by incident responders for sharing investigation details. This issue, present in iris-web prior to version 2.4.0, is located in multiple areas and could enable an authenticated attacker to inject malicious scripts into the application. Execution of these scripts occurs when a user visits the affected locations, potentially leading to unauthorized access, data theft, or other malicious activities. No workarounds are available, and users are advised to upgrade to version 2.4.0 to mitigate this risk.
