Summary

CVE-2024-25109 is a vulnerability found in the ManageWiki extension for MediaWiki. It allows an attacker to perform a cross-site scripting attack by exploiting the lack of escape characters on the 'columns' and 'help' keys in the form descriptor of Special:ManageWiki. To resolve this vulnerability, users should implement the code changes in commits '886cc6b94', '2ef0f50880', and '6942e8b2c'. This vulnerability requires the '(editinterface)' right to be exploited on-wiki. There are currently no known workarounds for this issue, which has a base severity of MEDIUM and a base score of 6.5 according to the CVSS 3.1 rating system.
