Summary
CVE-2024-24770 is a vulnerability affecting the open source framework, vantage6. The issue enables an attacker to discover which usernames exist in the system by calling the API routes '/recover/lost' and '/2fa/lost'. These routes, which are intended to send emails to users who have lost their password or MFA token, unintentionally reveal usernames. This vulnerability has been resolved in commit 'aecfd6d0e' and is anticipated to be addressed in upcoming releases. It is strongly recommended that users upgrade as soon as possible to mitigate this risk. No known workarounds are available for this vulnerability.
