Summary

CVE-2024-2460 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the "Gamipress – Button" plugin for WordPress. The flaw, present in all versions up to 1.0.7, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the 'gamipress_button' shortcode. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious scripts that execute whenever a user accesses a manipulated page.
