Summary
CVE-2024-24565 is a vulnerability affecting CrateDB, a distributed SQL database. The issue lies in the COPY FROM function, which allows users to import file data into database tables. Malicious actors with authentication credentials can exploit this vulnerability to import arbitrary file content, leading to potential information leakage. The vulnerability has been addressed in version 5.3.9, 5.4.8, 5.5.4, and 5.6.1 of CrateDB.
