Summary
CVE-2024-24150 is a memory leak vulnerability affecting libming v0.4.8. The issue lies in the parseSWF_TEXTRECORD function where an attacker can exploit this flaw by crafting a SWF file. By doing so, they can cause a denial of service (DoS) condition due to the memory leak. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to systems utilizing libming v0.4.8, as an attacker does not require privileged access to exploit it. System administrators are advised to update their libming installation to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
