Summary

CVE-2024-23893 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory) version 1.0. The issue arises due to insufficient encoding of user-controlled inputs, leading to a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. Specifically, the costcenterid parameter in the /cupseasylive/costcentermodify.php file is vulnerable. An attacker can exploit this weakness by crafting a malicious URL and sending it to an authenticated user. Successful exploitation could result in the theft of the user's session cookie credentials, granting the attacker unauthorized access to the affected system.
