Summary
CVE-2024-23892 is a newly reported vulnerability affecting Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory), version 1.0. The weakness lies in the application's failure to adequately encode user-supplied inputs, leading to a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. Specifically, the flaw can be exploited through the /cupseasylive/costcentercreate.php page, in the costcenterid parameter. An attacker who successfully exploits this vulnerability can craft a malicious URL and send it to an authenticated user, potentially stealing their session cookie credentials.
