Summary

CVE-2024-23891 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory) version 1.0. The issue lies in the lack of adequate encoding of user inputs, making it susceptible to Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. Specifically, the vulnerability can be exploited via the /cupseasylive/itemcreate.php page, with the itemid parameter being the target. A remote attacker can take advantage of this flaw by crafting malicious URLs and sending them to authenticated users. Successful exploitation could result in the theft of session cookie credentials.
