Summary
CVE-2024-23887 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory), version 1.0. This issue arises due to insufficient encoding of user-controlled inputs, leading to a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. The vulnerability can be exploited through the grncreate.php file located in the /cupseasylive/ directory, specifically in the grndate parameter. An attacker, once successful in exploiting this vulnerability, can craft a malicious URL and send it to an authenticated user, potentially stealing their session cookie credentials. This poses a significant risk for unauthorized access to sensitive information.
