Summary
CVE-2024-23886 is a newly reported vulnerability affecting Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory) version 1.0. This issue stems from insufficient encoding of user-controlled inputs, which gives rise to a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. The vulnerability lies in the /cupseasylive/itemmodify.php file, specifically within the bincardinfo parameter. An attacker, once successful in exploiting this vulnerability, can send a malicious URL to an authenticated user, resulting in the theft of their session cookie credentials.
