Summary
CVE-2024-23879 is a recently disclosed vulnerability affecting Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory) version 1.0. The issue stems from insufficient encoding of user-controlled inputs, which leads to a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This weakness is found in the /cupseasylive/statemodify.php file, specifically within the description parameter. Successful exploitation of this XSS flaw enables a remote attacker to craft a malicious URL and trick an authenticated user into visiting it, ultimately resulting in the theft of their session cookie credentials.
