Summary

CVE-2024-23861 is a newly reported vulnerability affecting Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory) version 1.0. This issue stems from insufficient encoding of user-controlled inputs, leading to a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. The vulnerability can be exploited through the /cupseasylive/unitofmeasurementcreate.php file, specifically the unitofmeasurementid parameter. A remote attacker can leverage this flaw by sending a malicious URL to an authenticated user. Successful exploitation may result in the theft of the user's session cookie credentials.
