Summary

CVE-2024-23825 is a vulnerability affecting the TablePress table plugin for Wordpress. The vulnerability allows for insufficiently filtered user input, which can lead to unauthorized HTTP requests to unintended network locations and receiving responses. This can be particularly dangerous in cloud environments like AWS, where an attacker could potentially make GET requests to the instance's metadata REST API and expose internal data, including credentials. The vulnerability has been fixed in version 2.2.5 of TablePress.
