Summary

CVE-2024-23823 is a vulnerability affecting the open source framework vantage6, used for privacy enhancing technologies like Federated Learning and Multi-Party Computation. The vantage6 server does not have any restrictions on Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) settings, allowing for potential unauthorized access from different origins. However, the impact is limited as v6 does not use session cookies. The vulnerability has been addressed in commit `70bb4e1d8` and will be fixed in future releases. Users are advised to upgrade as soon as a new release becomes available. There are currently no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
