Summary
CVE-2024-23775 is an integer overflow vulnerability affecting Mbed TLS 2.x before version 2.28.7 and 3.x before version 3.5.2. This issue enables attackers to induce a denial of service (DoS) by manipulating the input to the function mbedtls_x509_set_extension(). The vulnerability occurs due to an improperly handled integer in this function, allowing attackers to exceed the intended size limit and disrupt the normal functioning of the library.
