Summary
CVE-2024-23750 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting MetaGPT versions up to 0.6.4. This issue permits the QaEngineer role to execute arbitrary code due to MetaGPT's misconfiguration in handling shell metacharacters in the RunCode.run_script() function. The vulnerability arises from passing shell metacharacters to subprocess.Popen, potentially allowing attackers to execute malicious commands and gain unauthorized access to the system.
