Summary

CVE-2024-23744 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting Mbed TLS 3.5.1. This issue permits a persistent handshake denial when a client sends a TLS 1.3 ClientHello message without extensions, preventing successful establishment of secure connections. The server continues to attempt handshakes, leading to potential denial-of-service (DoS) consequences. Attackers can exploit this to disrupt services and limit access for legitimate users.
