Summary

CVE-2024-23726 is a cyber vulnerability that affects Ubee DDW365 XCNDDW365 devices. These devices have predictable default WPA2 PSKs, which can be exploited by a remote attacker in proximity to a Wi-Fi network. By observing a beacon frame, the attacker can derive the default WPA2-PSK value, which is generated using the first six characters of the SSID and the last six of the BSSID, with the last digit decremented. The vulnerability has a base severity rating of HIGH and poses a significant danger to organizations as it allows unauthorized remote access. To remediate this vulnerability, users should change their default WPA2 PSKs to unique and strong passwords.
