CVE-2024-23660 is a vulnerability that affects the Binance Trust Wallet app for iOS, specifically in commit 3cd6e8f647fbba8b5d8844fcd144365a086b629f. The vulnerability arises from the misuse of the trezor-crypto library, resulting in mnemonic words being generated using only the device time as an entropy source. This flaw has been exploited in the wild in July 2023, leading to potential economic losses. An attacker can systematically generate mnemonics for each timestamp within a specific timeframe and link them to wallet addresses, enabling them to steal funds from affected wallets.
