Summary

CVE-2024-23635 is a primary cyber vulnerability affecting the AntiSamy library prior to version 1.7.5. The vulnerability is a mutation XSS (mXSS) that occurs due to flawed parsing of HTML during the sanitization process. The vulnerability can be exploited when the `preserveComments` directive is enabled in the policy file. Crafty inputs can result in comment tags being interpreted as executable, posing a potential danger to organizations using AntiSamy's sanitized output.
