Summary

CVE-2024-23510 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting Don't Muck My Markup, a plugin used for customizing WordPress site layouts. This issue, present in versions 1.8 and below, allows malicious actors to perform unintended actions on a user's WordPress site by tricking them into making unintentional requests. The attacker can exploit this vulnerability by creating a specially crafted web page that, when visited, causes the user's browser to send a malicious request to the WordPress site on their behalf. This can potentially lead to a range of negative consequences, including data modification, account takeover, and site defacement. Users of Don't Muck My Markup are strongly advised to update to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
