Summary
CVE-2024-23345 is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability that affects Nautobot versions earlier than 1.6.10 or 2.1.2. This vulnerability occurs due to inadequate input sanitization in user-editable fields that support Markdown rendering. As a result, attackers can exploit this vulnerability by injecting maliciously crafted data, potentially leading to XSS attacks. The issue has been fixed in Nautobot versions 1.6.10 and 2.1.2. This vulnerability has a base severity of MEDIUM with a base score of 5.4 according to [email protected], and it requires LOW privileges and user interaction over the network to be exploited
