Summary

CVE-2024-23333 is a cyber vulnerability that affects LDAP Account Manager (LAM) versions prior to 8.7. The vulnerability allows an attacker to create a PHP file and cause LAM to log PHP code to this file, which can be executed when accessed via the web. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker would need to know LAM's master configuration password and the webserver would need write access to a directory accessible via the web. The issue has been fixed in version 8.7, but as a workaround, access to LAM configuration pages should be limited to authorized users. This vulnerability has a base severity rating of HIGH and poses a potential danger to organizations as it can lead to unauthorized code execution and compromise system integrity and confidentiality.
