Summary

CVE-2024-23329 is a vulnerability that affects the open-source tool changedetection.io in versions prior to 0.45.13. The vulnerability allows any unauthorized user to access the API endpoint `/api/v1/watch/<uuid>/history`, which exposes the watch history of users. However, to exploit this vulnerability, the unauthorized party needs to know a specific watch UUID, and the endpoint itself only returns paths to snapshots on the server, minimizing the impact on users' data privacy. The recommended remediation is for users to upgrade to version 0.45.13 of changedetection.io. No known workarounds exist for this vulnerability. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability is relatively low, with a base severity rating of LOW and a confidentiality impact of LOW according to NVD's analysis.
