Summary
CVE-2024-23183 is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting various versions of the a-blog CMS. Specifically, this issue impacts a-blog CMS Ver.3.1.x series up to Ver.3.1.7, Ver.3.0.x series up to Ver.3.0.29, Ver.2.11.x series up to Ver.2.11.58, Ver.2.10.x series up to Ver.2.10.50, and Ver.2.9.0 and earlier. An attacker who is already authenticated can exploit this flaw to inject and execute arbitrary scripts in the logged-in user's web browser. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it could lead to sensitive data theft, session hijacking, or even full account takeover. System administrators are advised to update their a-blog CMS instances to the latest versions as soon as possible to mitigate this threat.
