Summary

A critical vulnerability, CVE-2024-2272, has been discovered in the keerti1924 Online-Book-Store-Website 1.0. This vulnerability allows for SQL injection through the manipulation of the product_name argument in the /home.php file of the HTTP POST Request Handler component. The vulnerability can be exploited remotely, and it has been made public with a disclosure identifier of VDB-256042. Although the vendor was notified about this issue, they did not respond. Organizations using this software are at risk of unauthorized access to their database and potential data breaches. To remediate this vulnerability, it is recommended to update to a patched version or implement proper input validation and sanitization techniques to prevent SQL injection attacks.
